Adventures In Babysitting

Lindsey & I watched Lana & Caleb while Lissa went up to the mountain to deer hunt with Curtis. We had so much fun but boy were we worn out by Sunday. At least we didn't have to worry about getting them ready for church. It was the dedication of the Oquirrh Temple so there were no services. Lindsey went to the 9am dedication & by the time the 3pm one rolled around, the kids were home so I went to that one.

Boy do they love their grandpa!

DAY OF REST?

The Sabbath Day. The day I wait for all week. Well, first I woke up with a sore throat. Then as I was getting into the shower I banged my foot on the edge of the toilet & broke my toe. My left pinky toe is red & swollen & the bruise goes half way up my instep! To top that off as I was opening the back door to throw Sammie's water out so I could refill it the door hit the fire extinguisher & set it off. Stuff was spraying everywhere. I had it all over me. If it wasn't so sad it would be comical. In fact it was. But the day turned out pretty good. I did go to Sacrament meeting then came back home to rest. My dear husband taught my primary class for me. I don't think I'll go to work tomorrow. One more day of rest. I can't afford to get sick & miss alot of work. And, maybe by tomorrow I'll be able to wear shoes.

Hogle Zoo

We went to the zoo while we were in SLC. It was so hot! The little kids had so much fun tho. Their favorite animals were the monkeys. Melissa had bought the girls matching umbrellas & Caleb got ahold of one & wouldn't give it up. He was so cute.

Stadium of Fire

Stadium of Fire was awesome. Except for the parking! We got tickets for Melissa & Curtis but we couldn't sit together. We were close enough to see each other tho. Lindsey & I had Lana & Kayla with us & Amanda sat with Lissa, Curtis & Caleb. My favorite part is always the flyover. We had a surprise of 2 gunships flyover later in the show. That was pretty neat also. She Daisy sang, then the Jonas Brothers. I took the girls to the restroom while the Jonas Brothers sang. You couldn't see them anyway. There were too many teenaged girls standing up crying & screeming. It was kind of comical. I don't ever remember being that gaga over a movie star. Not even Donny Osmond. Glenn Beck was the MC. He was awesome. He had a great monologue then gave tribute to the giant American Flag that was always flown over the S of F. Then they had a touvhing ceremony where they retired the flag & burned it.

Lana fell asleep. Even through the loud fireworks. It was a long day but I'm glad we could be there with our kids.
